NSW CPD options for 2024-2025
NSW Fair Trading releases some details around requirements for the 2024-2025 CPD year.
Changes to note as of April 2024:
The CPD year is 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025
New Supervision Guidelines will commence on 1 July 2024
Holders of just one category of Class 1 or Class 2 licence will be required to complete a minimum of five hours of CPD training, including four compulsory topics set for their licence type
Some elements from past years remain the same
Training delivery requirements remain the same, including either:
an in-person classroom session delivered by a trainer, with a maximum of 40 participants, or
an online interactive webinar session, delivered by a trainer, with a maximum of 25 participants, or
10 hours of purely online training, which includes all compulsory topics applicable to the agent’s licence category and additional elective training to make up the 10 hours. Compulsory topics must be delivered by an approved CPD provider (like us!)
The Australian Real Estate Training College will continue to deliver cost-effective CPD during the 2024-2025 CPD year.

NSW CPD 2023-2024 (23 March 2023 - 22 March 2024)
If you have missed your CPD requirements for 2023-2024 we are still offering our courses as an online option only.
Real Estate only ($199): Disclosures and Underquoting, Contracts for Sale of Land, Supervision Guidelines, two (2) Elective topics.
Property Management only ($199): Supervision Guidelines, Unforeseen Rental Terminations, Rental Bonds, two (2) Elective topics.
Business Broking only ($199): Transfer of Employees, Supervision Guidelines, and Business Sales and Understanding Financial Statements, two (2) Elective topics.
Stock and Station only ($199): Mandatory Implementation Plan Electronic ID of Sheep and Goats, Animal Welfare Best Practice, Supervision Guidelines, two (2) Elective topics.
Dual Real Estate and Stock and Station ($245): Disclosures and Underquoting, Contracts for Sale of Land, Supervision Guidelines, Mandatory Implementation Plan Electronic ID of Sheep and Goats, Animal Welfare Best Practice, one (1) Elective topic.
Dual Real Estate and Business Broking ($245): Disclosures and Underquoting, Contracts for Sale of Land, Supervision Guidelines, Transfer of Employees, Business Sales and Understanding Financial Statements, one (1) Elective topic.
NSW CPD must be completed between 23 March and 22 March each year. Licences can be renewed before completing CPD, as long as the training is completed within the designated period and a record of course completion (training certificate) is retained.
Please note that GST applies to and is included in the cost of all CPD courses that are not units of competency.

Which CPD applies to me?
If you are unsure which licence category you fall under, you can search for your licence on the Service NSW Public Register.
NSW CPD must be completed between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2025. Licences can be renewed before completing CPD, as long as the training is completed within the designated period and a record of course completion (training certificate) is retained.
